Gratuitous camera shots lingering too long on her ass, crotch, and breasts were somewhat offset by a defiant attitude where she refused to be defined by the men around her and a pseudo mother-daughter plot that helped to flesh out Bayonetta as a character without compromising her sex-positive demeanor.īayonetta 2, instead of building on the first game’s character depth, infantilizes its heroine.
